Aim

1. Take (through selection test / academic / financial merit / demerit) 8th class students for intensive coaching (supplementary - on holidays / leisure time) till they reach 12th class. -

Each year a batch of 100 may add to make it as a continuous program. Train them for the Model Citizens. Educate them through E-/Net- Learning.

2. Provide extra coaching in Soft Skill / Life Skill for 9th to 12th class - Specific selected aspiring group). Mold them towards Higher Goals.

3. Inspire Graduate Students to play Social Responsible Activity / Drive them to Higher Learning.

4. HR / Life / Soft Skill Training.

5. Teachers / Tutors / Trainers Training Sessions – centralized location periodically

6. Create a centre for Good Communicative English

Create good - socially committed - leaders / administrators / judiciaries / doctors / scientists / engineers / Entrepreneurs etc.

Infrastructure Required

A centre with Office, 2 Class Rooms for 100, Computer centre.

Manpower Required

Coordinator : A Social Worker (Young and Dynamic) for Coordination (could be an MBA/MSW from Science/Technology background)

Faculty (Tutors) shall be Young Graduate / Post-Graduate Students on Volunteer / Less payment.

Guest Faculty / on call / invitation / Visits - Celebrated who shall give Direction / Educate at High Profile knowledge

Advisory / Controlling Body

A group of People who shall make sure the facility / Creating Contacts / Supporting the day to day affair / help in selection process / take care of guests / give publicity etc.

Payment / Budget - FIRST YEAR. (Shall multiply in years for FIVE FOLD)

Infrastructure could be a rented Building / In due course an owned one. (Cost could be around Rs.20,000 X 12) = 240,000

Tutors shall be paid @Rs.200 per hour. 2 class rooms for 50 each.

Guest Faculty shall be paid @Rs.1000 per hour. Single session for 100.

120 Working days (normal leisure / holidays) X 6 hours (Guest Faculty : Tutor ratio 5:1 = @Rs.3000 for 6 = make average Rs.500/=) = 60,000

Salary + Material cost / Computer / E-material / Hospitality for Guests / Support for needy etc. = 200,000

Annual Budget of Rs.500, 000 (this can be shared among the 50% paid seat @Rs.1000/= per month)

E(A)ffective Teaching by Heart

Friday, 5^th NOVEMBER 2010

GOALS

Since "teachers teach as they have been taught," the workshop is designed to

enhance and expand student interest in learning as they develop a practical, conceptual understanding.

Prepare teachers to implement Instruction pedagogy and innovative teaching into their classroom.

WHO WILL BENEFIT

Teachers at secondary/Sr. Secondary level at schools and junior colleges + who love teaching at high school level.

PARTICIPANTS EXPECTED

50 to 100 a mixed group

COURSE CONTENTS

Subject without boundaries. No one needs to know the teaching concepts, also the techniques and tools. The workshop will have two components: Theory and practice. In the theory part we intend to discuss teaching in general and how to make it adaptive. Shall have discussion / group activity / debates / creative drills etc..

sir,
ever since i had been to sobha hermitage on 1st sept, i feel like i had got a totally new outlook towards life as a whole. Your class was not just about the teaching, it covered almost all aspects of life. It was such a booster of confidence sir, and i consider myself very lucky to meet you and attend your class. I am now looking forward for a weekend without any other programs to rush to shobha academy and meet the students there. There can be nothing else so heart-filling and satisfying than that. Because , we cannot give others anything bigger than education. Let me also take this chance to thank and appreciate the efforts of P.N.C menon sir's and all others cordinators of Sosha Hermitage and Academy.

program with a suburban higher secondary school for 8 - 12 class personality coaching,

hello sir,

i'm lakshmi, an m.com student of vimala college and had attended your workshop conducted at the shobha hermitage on the 1st of september, wednesday. i dont know if you remember me. i was the one who presented our group's topic and our idea was to start our school and that is how we presented it. i hope you get me now.

we did not wait for the evening tea an left soon after the programme as some of our friends came from far away places and we didnt want them to late which is why we couldnt come and say bye to you personally. in fact some of them thought of leaving at 3 when we boarded our bus from thrissur. but, let me tell you, we didnt have the slightest clue even when the clock stuck 5 because the class was so very intreresting. thank you sir and we'll keep in touch.
